Information about the "Mathematics and Logic" remedial course (2023)

Who it is for

The Mathematics and Logic remedial course is intended for students who have enrolled in the International Politics, Law and Economics (IPLE) programme for the 2022/2023 academic year with additional learning requirements (OFA).

This remedial course is:

Delivery mode

Students are required to take the course online using self-learning resources and exercises.

A tutor will be available for clarification and advice. Check the course website for the tutor's name and contact details.

The tutor will set up regular meetings on  TEAMS, the   MicrosoftOffice365   platform for synchronous teaching and learning, during which they will answer any questions on exercises

Students can sign up for these meetings on the course website. The tutor will communicate the meeting schedule.

Important! The course will be online for one year, i.e. until October 2023. Those who will not have fulfilled their additional learning requirements by then will still be able to sit assessment tests. However, they will no longer be able to access the course contents.


Final assessment

Starting from January, six final assessment sessions will be scheduled for students who have completed the Logic and Mathematics remedial course. Further details on assessment tests will be provided on the course website around the middle of October.

Important! The course must be completed within six days of the test date.

The exact course completion deadlines for each test session will be posted on the website (taking into account Saturdays/Sundays/holidays).


Number of sessions available

Six sessions will be available from January 2023 to September 2023.

In due course, specific information on test dates and registration procedures will be posted on the course website.

Each student will receive their test result from the Student Registrar on their University email account. Moreover, the results will be available in the assessments section of the course website. Each student will only see their own test result: PASS or FAIL.

Pass outcomes will be shown on the UNIMIA page as well.

Those who do not pass the test may register for the next session.
